FAMTE is gathering any materials or suggestions on the following issues.  If you have information on any topics, please email the moderator of the appropriate topic.

1. Florida's mathematics requirements for K-12 teacher certification programs: Nine (9) semester hours in mathematics to include college algebra or above and geometry.  Moderator:  Dr. Gladys Kersaint (Kersaint@tempest.coedu.usf.edu)

2. Identifying Teacher Characteristics of HQT with associated teacher preparation components (primary, upper elementary, middle, and secondary education).  Moderator:  Dr. Andy Reeves (areeves@bayflash.stpt.usf.edu)
